Hey guys!

Good news: tickets for the Sleeping With Giants tour will go on presale July 10th, and on sale July 13th. Unfortunately, I never know whether I have tickets to give away until about a week or two before a show, but if you can't afford get tix for some reason just keep checking here and on the myspace because I'll always hand over any tickets I have to teamers before anyone else. Hope you guys had a great 4th!

The Academy Is are headling. Armor for Sleep play before them.

Hey guys...If you're in the NJ/ NYC/PA area listen up. 89.5fm WSOU is giving away win-it-before you can buy them tickets for The Starland Ballroom date on October 26. They said sometime between 1 and 8pm July 9th to the 13th. I'm just letting you know, so us true fans can win them. You can tune in on-line at www.myspace.com/wsou or www.wsou.net

How the flipping how are the Academy Is opening for Armor for Sleep? Isnt that a bit stupid??? Considering they opened for Armor for Sleep a few years back?

Armor for Sleep play before them.

Ahahahahha that's what usually happens when someone doesn't headline..
they do play before.. hahahahahahha.. dont know why but that made me laugh.

but thanks for the tip, cause i'm only 70% sure about going.
toriori
okay..so that means none of the tickets are on sale yet...because if you go to the academy is site it has a buy tickets link but the california shows weren't showing up on ticketmaster so i got scared that they were all sold out. will the presale codes be posted here? or will we get emailed about it? whatever... i'm too excited that they aren't already sold out! biggrin.gif

Unless I can use the presale code IRL, this sucks because I don't have a debit card etc to order them online.

Tickets to any of the 4 shows I plan on attending would probably make my year.

All of the shows I want to go to are within 1 or 2 days of my birthday, so I'm trying to con my friends into getting them for me, haha.
Julie Lea
AHHH! Why is my Pre-sale SOLD OUT! Is there any way around this. PLEASE HELP!
scouterdef
If the pre-sale is sold out, wait to the regular tickets go on sale and then get them
Julie Lea

Ha, the joys of living in Michigan.... With my discount for working at Target, I get a % off my purchase at Ticketmaster.com. SO, all the stupid shit they charge isnt anything.

Also, since its at Clutch Cargos.... With every ticket being purchased, money goes to restoring the piece of shit building ... at least thats what ive heard.

Luxury tax is this cool ass thing we have pay here in Michigan if we want a hair cut…..for real, or go see a show, so on and so forth. Basically wallet rape.

As for Clutch Cargos….remember when it use to be Sanctum? Or am I dating myself? I hate going to shows there….. well Pontiac in general. Blah.

Hah, i know I hate Pontiac myself, but I dont know if its worth it or not for the hassle to drive there to see Armor for Sleep or not. Yes, you are dating yourself and I do vaguely remember it being called that, but wow ... that was ages ago.

Also, State Theatre in Detroit, is now called the Fillmore ... what the fuck is up with that?¿

I personally would walk a thousand miles for an Armor show!
Plus I’m not that far from Pontiac. I just prefer to stay in the city/ see shows in the city.
The whole State now Fillmore…. Is just another way to hike up ticket prices for Live Nation (jerks)! New management, new booking agents…. A lot of artists/musicians/managers…. I have talked to have stated that they will be avoiding the city of Detroit on their tours altogether, it really sucks in Detroit for “middle class” bands right now, even if they are signed to a “major” label. So I’m preparing to travel a lot this year.

scouterdef

People should let them know that there are other places to play in Detroit because The State theatre, St Andrews and the Shelter. Alvins is a great place and there is one more as well, but I cant recall off hand. Well, hopefully they dont stray to far from Detroit, cause Pontiac is much worse
Julie Lea
Yeah….The Bag and The Stick, Majestic etc. apparently don’t “pay out” as much and a lot of bands managers don’t deem it worthy….but its like dude, this is Detroit so many kids come out to see, well, just about anything! The exposure itself I think would make up for the money factor.
To me, especially if your band is dropping an album, not to stop in Detroit is a career no, no! I have fought with many a managers about this subject!

scouterdef

I agree with you, and I cant believe I forgot to mention the Majestic and the Magic Stick ... what the hell is wrong with me.
