I tried so hard to get Foo Fighters tix but they sold out in like seconds. And I just found out that fuse TV is going to be airing the concert Tuesday night at the Garden live without commercial interruption. Super Sweet! I think it airs at 11pm. I got to see Grohl play with Nirvana

I hope you like making me jealous....the closest I got to Nirvana was the Good Rats....you should really check them out, LI's most famous unknown band...they headlined shows with Aero and Nirvana back in the day....but never signed a label, so they pretty much stayed in dark....

Thats cool, ill prolly check them out... but, nothing is better that actually getting to see Nirvana live.

when i saw the foos a few years ago, i was pumped!
but then by the time they hit the stage, i was too tired to care
so i watched them from afar eating pizza, good set though.
even though it could have been more enjoyable.

T'was amazing... this is my first time seeing the Foo Fighters, because I didnt want to ruin my memory of seeing him with Nirvana, but because of my concusions, I really cant remember it that clearly anymore. I still have the ticket stub to prove it, but the show its self its fuzzy. Also, probably has to do with all the other shows ive been to over the years.

yeah but at least you can still say "i've seen nirvana"
my friend just told me the other day she got to see nirvana as well
and her memory of it isn't clear either, she just remembers kurt being really small.
she was only 14, and she was kinda far away..but still...that would have been incredible..

sounds like you had quite a night, my friend just went to see Linkin Park last night....I wanted to go there but I had a decision...Bamboozle or LP...so I chose Bamboozle because there's so many more bands that day...plus A Day To Remember and Dance Gavin Dance are playing that date....

and now I have to make a decision since I saw this special on lenses for my camera...

either a 2day 1 night pass to bamboozle for $125

or

a 80-300mm and a 18-80mm lens for my Canon XTi....for $150.....

Go for the concert, you can always save up for Lenses or get them when they go on sale.



...and Yeah I am hoping to enjoy the Foo Fighters show, I know they put on a sweet show. Everyone that I know that has seen them, absolutely loved them.

Yeah Kurt was a bit on the small side, but I just remember the pit going nuts for them... and me sitting off to the side thinking, that god im not in there.

luckily my dad finally decided to pay me for workin putting spackle all over the house he's renevating....so now I can ask for bamboozle tickets as a gift from my step dad...and I can buy my lenses....ill be broke for merch though. =/

They played just short of 2 hours... They didnt play "Hey, Johnny Pak, but they played pretty much everything else.

I would've given pretty much anything to have been in your shoes for the night...I always wanted to see them but never had the chance because either my friends think they're too old school or if I find someone that likes the Foo's I happen to be broke at the time.... =/


that's why I usually just go to bamboozle...and school of rock.... $50 a day for bamboozle, and $12 at the s.o.r.

but since I've been doing concert photography I sometimes get on the guest list and get in free... hopefully ill save my pennies for the next time the Foo's are in town.

I saw them a couple years ago, and it was definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Dave Grohl's a class act, and definitely knows how to put a show on.

Agreed... thats why I think Nirvana never would have made it. Kurt wasnt much of a show person, he would come on and put an amazing set, but he wouldnt do what Grohl does. Interacting the group, and just the overall stage performance (not the music but everything else).

But we'll never know, but good thing the Foo Fighters are around. I'd see them again.

Well I saw Dave Grohl at my local sushi restaurant sitting with his wife and daughter , he's the perfect dad, such a cool guy. If he wasn't with them I'd probably have jumped all over him. He got Lucky
