I just saw the Spice Girls in Las Vegas this weekend. I was really just going for novelty, and because I have a friend that I have known since we were 10 and she has always lovvvved them. So I'm sitting there, waiting for the show, and as the lights go down and the music starts I got really excited. Then for the rest of the show I was up dancing and singing along (didn't realize I knew all the words to all the songs). Let me tell you, I was expecting obvious lip-syncing, unimpressive dancing, and over-use of pyro-technics. Instead, what I got was powerful singing and dead-on harmonies, a great crew of male back-up dancers (the girls were great dancers as well- in heels mind you), and an entertaining but not over-the-top light show. Honestly, these chicks know what they're doing. The got in to the business when talent and showmanship was in the forefront. If you have the means, I suggest getting out to one of these reunion shows. Such a fun time. Guys- the place was full of scantily clad girls, FYI.

my friend just went to both Vegas shows, and he LOVED it...and after seeing his pictures (he was right next to the catwalk) even i was thinking damn...i wanna kinda go now...haha..and i was never a really big fan.

Speaking of late 90's pop, one of my best friends from high school is on a guest list to meet the Backstreet Boys today. I'm so jealous.

Yeah I really did enjoy myself... being in to rock music it's rare you get to see such theatrics so that was great. Also, if you weren't at least 12 the last time they were popular you can't say they suck- you didn't know them in their glory.

i always gave them props for being able to dance in heels. i'd probably break my leg. i loved the spice girls when i was a kiddie. it was a good time.
