Thats for a different reason, they are ending this season early, because they lost soo many viewers and the creators of the show knew that they were doing a terrible job.
Show sucks anyways

people are freaking out their favorite shows are getting canceled ,but it's just a strike theres a difference.
I'm just happy to know big bang is going to have a second season
i never watched heroes so i don't know whats going on with that show. Sucks for the fans if it is getting canceled.

They are having a third season. They are ending this season early because every knew how bad it was. They will be back next year with more shite episodes.

haha well i guess i can't make you like it.
but my question is still left unanswered
are the writers on strike because they don't get paid for their shows streaming online?

i'm not sure if its the streaming online stuff, but I know roughly its basically because they don't get paid a dime for any DVD sales or online revenue.
Its shit that they dont get at least something, because literally these shows wouldn't exist without them (just as so with actors, etc.) So they should get a fair share as well.

yeah that's true.
i hope they start getting paid more.
do they get paid less than actors?

Writers don't receive royalties for DVD sales or internet streams. For instance, The Office had a bunch of webisodes last year that won the writers an Emmy, but they don't get any part of the royalties for it. That doesn't mean they aren't being paid their yearly wages by the studios, but there is more profit to be had, which is why they're pissed. Actors do get paid more than writers overall, but writers are paid more than crew, who are being fired left and right because these shows are going on hiatus. The studios are trying to guilt the writers in to coming back by firing the crews of these shows. I bet we're going to be seeing a lot more game shows and such that don't require any type of scripted writing. Barf.
They are picketing here now too (WBR is on the WB lot)... the other day they all had to bring their kids because they had a day off school : (

It will be nice when they are finally finish striking, because its preventing a lot of great shows from being on tv and its very annoying.

I love how that show had a nice Roseanne reunion feel to it, on a few of the episodes. Darlene, Aunt Jackie and of course David, were all in episodes.
I will agree though, that is a great show, Big Bang that is.
