i love this band even though many people hate them.
a couple of things to discuss:
-does anyone like them?
-i read the new ap with them on the cover and i found out a couple of things i never knew before. i had no idea that anthony green was so cool with cove singing his lyrics.
-they are going on tour with linkin park this fall(i think) which is really funny to me.

I don't see how someone can hate them.
They're around my 3rd favorite band.
they share a spot with someone else.
I've been wanting to read that mag
i need to go get it asap.
I didn't know about the tour though
that's awesome!
one more thing to look forward in late 07.

i'm just starting to get into them. i had always heard negative stuff about them before so i never gave them a chance, but recently i have been and i actually like it. and i found that article really interesting. i learned so much about them that i never would have guessed. plus, i think i approve of them a little more now too because anthony is okay with cove.

I'd be kindda mad is anthony would not be ok with cove.
that would be stupid.

oh, you'd be surprised. i get so much shit for liking them...but it's usually from people who just want to get a rise out of me. a lot of people don't like them bc they think cove is trying to be anthony green, which is definitley not true.
you should definiley read the article when you get a chance. it has made many circa survive fans respect cove more.

I was suuuper into Saosin back in their Anthony Green, Translating the Name days. I gave Cove a chance, but I just can't bring myself to enjoy the new stuff. All due respect to them for being awesome musicians (Alex is one of the best drummers I've ever heard), but I hate hearing a band with SO much promise and originality in their early days sign to a major, and sell-the-fuck-out. The new stuff is just too typical for me. Sorry, Saosin, I'll take Circa Survive. I'm forever loyal to Anthony Green.

But the new AP almost made me cry when I read the part about when Justin's dad died and everyone started crying during Seven Years. And I also think it's also really cool that Anthony isn't gonna change his opinion or lie to the media about his bad-relations with the SaoGuys (except for Cove). We need more honesty in the world.

Damn Straight.
Old Saosin > New Saosin.
It's not bad, just takes some getting used to a band that created so much buzz, then lost it's singer and became something generic sounding.

.
Are you kidding me?
You do of course realize that Saosin was pretty much brought together to be signed by a major label right?
There's a reason why you had never heard or seen anything about Saosin before, and then suddenly they were all over the map.
Job well done to that marketing scheme though.

Alexis are my number 1 band to see live, they always put off an amazing show and it always seems Dallas Green is NEVER off key. As far as Saosin goes, old saosin with Anthony Green is my personal favorite but Cove Reber rocks it hard too, just two different styles is all.
