And then I started thinking.

nah, i dont think its about being drunk or anything. it definitely sounds like the whole "ultimate release" idea someone mentioned. yeah, i guess "stumble around/scare kids away" could be taken as like... a drunken stumble, but if you look at the rest of the song, stuff like "run through my town/scream til i faint" and "this is the end of keeping it in" make it seem more as if he's just basically running around, yelling his head off, trying to get rid of a bunch of pain or anger or something.

Yeah, i just always saw the song as being a release. He wants to just get it all out. Hold nothing in. 'everyone will see how i feel now' or something like that..you know?

but yeah, really doesn't have much in the song that makes it seem like he's drunk. only a couple parts. i love this song though!!

i think he's just running, so he's passing the parked cars in his town, and he's happy, so he's smiling. i don't think he's smiling b/c he's passing parked cars or anything...lol

if i remember correctly, the last time i saw it performed live he mentioned "this next song is about being on drugs". perscriptives of course.

i love that song. especially since i feel like i need to run away from my town, from my whole state. i just hate it so much. i looked at the map of pennsylvania the other day, saw where my town was and actually started to cry.
i almost ran away from school the one day.. i got out of my seat and started to leave the classroom, but then decided that it probably isnt a good idea.

About drugs? never heard that one. but yeah, it's a good song regardless. i really love it!
