I've seen Brand New a few times (at least 6 or so). They used to be so amazing live. Last summer, things started going downhill. This past November, I went to NJ to see them (I live in MA), and it was easily the crappiest show I have ever attended

. I was so disappointed because I've liked Brand New a lot, for a long time, but they just put on the worst show ever. The songs dragged out, and they would just stop playing and you'd be stuck listening to feedback for like 15 minutes at a time. My conclusion was that Jesse Lacey has finally realized he can be a douche and put very little effort into his music and everyone will still love them, so whateverrr.

I'm sure you saw them on a bad night ...I just saw them a few days ago, and they were amazing ... they didnt have the feedback for 15 minutes like you were saying.... They played absolutely amazingly.

Haven't been on their new tour, though.

a bit dissapointed to hear otherwise this time around.

I really hope your experience is better than mine. I spent 6 or 7 hours on trains on my way there. The concert ticket was 40$, and the train was 200$, and then the show was awful.

. A few girls @ school seem to think the last time they saw them was "amazing," so maybe it will be.

kevin devine was AMAZING.
i caught both the show at The Warfield and the Myspace secret show in San Francisco. The secret show won because it was nice and intimate. Personally, I thought Brand New did really good.
Jesse comes out during both Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devines set as backup vocals.
and it IS a NO CAMERA show. jesse will tell you to turn off your camera. haha
ps. pay close attention to what jesse says.

Well there sure was a lot of pushing, thats for sure, I have bruised ribs and hips to prove it. I'm pretty sure everyone was just pushing, there's no way anybody could have moved with the crowd being that compacted. Sooo maybe there wasn't any moshing, just pushing?

Like TBS, the first cd I heard from Brand New was their second album. Deja Entendu was a whole different thing from what I had been listening to, so I was immediately drawn in by it. The songs fit togethr nicely, so it gives you this feel that you can just sit and listen to it on repeat forever.
Your Favorite Weapon: Logan To Government Center and/or Seventy Time Seven.
Deja Entendu: "Good to Know That If I Ever Need Attention All I Have to Do Is Die" and "Play Crack The Sky"
The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me: Jesus Christ, Millstone, Degausser
All in all, I love the band. In my Top 3.
